Service 03 · Full replacement
When it's time for a new roof, we do it right
Architectural asphalt and Class 4 impact-resistant systems built for South Texas heat and tropical wind. And because we also repair and rejuvenate, you can trust us when we say it's time.
01 · The honest consultation
We only sell tear-offs to roofs that need them
A roofer who only sells replacements will find a reason to sell you one. We get paid whichever way the assessment goes, so the recommendation follows the roof, not the sales target.
If the decking is soft, the shingles have no asphalt left to restore, or a storm has compromised multiple slopes, replacement is the only honest answer — and we'll do it properly.
Replacement is the right call when
- Decking is soft, sagging or rotten
- Shingles are worn through to the fiberglass mat
- Widespread curling or missing tabs on multiple slopes
- Storm damage across several roof planes
- Repeated leaks from different areas
02 · Shingle classes & cost
Typical Rio Grande Valley replacement costs
For a typical 2,000 sq ft Valley home. $9,500 to $16,500 covers most asphalt replacements, depending on size and shingle class.
Three-tab asphalt
$7,000 – $9,500
Budget option. Flat profile, shorter life in Valley heat.
Architectural asphalt
$9,500 – $12,500
Our most common install. Dimensional, heavier, better wind rating.
Class 4 impact-resistant
$12,500 – $16,500
Highest impact rating for asphalt. Some carriers offer premium discounts.
Screw-down metal panel
$16,500 – $21,000
Long life, reflects heat. Higher upfront cost.
Architectural vs. Class 4: both are dimensional asphalt. Class 4 shingles pass the highest UL 2218 impact test, which matters most in the Valley's occasional hail events and wind-borne debris during tropical storms.
03 · Storm damage claims
After a storm: what we do, and what we don't
The Valley's real storm exposure is tropical. Hurricane Hanna in July 2020 brought 60 mph gusts to McAllen and over 12 inches of rain across Hidalgo County, and the NWS recorded hundreds of damaged structures, "mainly roofs."
Hail does happen here, occasionally, but it isn't the everyday threat it is further north. We won't overstate it.
